Although heavy fog is lingering this morning, I'm excited that it's going to be another gorgeous day outside! Yesterday, we took Matthew to the play ground and had a great time. Today, we'll spend the day outside again (hopefully tomorrow, too!) playing and cleaning up the yard. I think I'll even make a campfire in the fire-pit. :) 

Soon, we'll be running to the door to watch the first snowflakes of the year but...NOT TODAY! :)  Here's hoping that everyone is experiencing this great weather in their part of the country this week! :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, EVERYONE! :)

We are excited to take our son Trick-or-Treating again this year! He's going to be part of "Lightening McQueen's Pit Crew"! zoom-zoom! ;)

Seems like there's just NOT enough hours in the day this time of year. My husband is home more and more now, as the fishing season comes to an end, our son wants to be outside playing every waking minute, the orders are coming in, one after the other, so I haven't had any time to create a piece to take with me to a show, and I want to get these orders/paintings all completed and shipped/delivered before Christmas. So, I don't expect to get to add any more pieces to my current inventory (which is down to 4 pieces, I think!) until the new year. Hey...that's okay! I'm certainly not complaining...I just wish, probably like everyone else on earth - that there were more hours in the day. ;)

Our 2 year anniversary was last weekend - we traveled around Wisconsin to view the fall colors but most of the leaves were off the trees already. That's okay...we were able to get in some fun activities and the weather was just perfect! Next year, I'd like to spend some time in Bayfield, WI for the Fall Apple Festival - right on the shore of like Superior - I bet I could get a lot of great pictures and ideas for paintings...we'll see...no need to start planning that yet. ;)

Hope everyone is healthy and happy and enjoying autumn! We LOVE this time of year - crunchy leaves, chili on the stove top, campfire outside and lots of warm blankets at night - makes it difficult to get up and on the treadmill early in the a.m! ;) (well...that's MY excuse, anyway. ;)

I realized today that I sold a painting that I never had a chance to take a picture of!    Guess I'll have to try to recreate another one...eventually. ;)

Today was rainy, sunny, WINDY and cool. However, it was also a great time; I absolutely loved talking with everyone!  We have such terrific and friendly people who live in this area I'm always happy to find out that "this person" lives 3 miles from me or...this couple lives where my husband grew up but are here every weekend at their cottage..or...one of my favorites, "I've got a whole bunch of old windows so if ya want them - come and get them...I'm just down the road!" :)

Thanks to everyone who stopped by my exhibit and thanks to all those, and you know who you are, for your business!  At the end of the day, it's nice not having to load up my car as much as I had to unload from it when I arrived! ;)

I love all the colors on the leaves...it's like someone dipped their paint brush in yellows, oranges and greens and swiped the tips of each tree.

I've had this idea for a year that incorporates actual fall leaves into a painting...maybe I'll get to try it in the next month or so.

Different thought: I also have these large 12 pane windows that would be perfect in a living room, or bedroom, or another large space. I don't want to make them a seasonal painting but rather something a person could display all year around. I'm leaning towards a design. Any different suggestions?

I have the perfect window all prepped and ready for some art work; I think I'm going to paint some purple coneflowers with a butterfly and a dragon fly...I think...   o maybe a barn...with some snow...that sparkles...or maybe pumpkins and autumn leaves...what ta' do...what ta' do...

So...I had my canopy set up in the yard a few weeks back - to provide some shade during the first half of the day while Matthew and I played outside - yes..it WAS warm then. ;) 

The husband tells me to take down the canopy because the forecast is calling for strong wind gusts. Needless to say,  I did 101 things and forgot to take it down. We came back from grocery shopping and the canopy managed to LAUNCH itself OVER the garage and is laying in the middle of the east side of the lawn...with a broken leg. Oh me, oh my...I've duct taped it until I can afford the surgery it so dearly needs. Please, little duct tape...hold for one more outdoor exhibit!
